Finite Element Analysis of Expansive Bedrock Considering Electro-chemo-mechanical Coupling Phenomena in Crystal Layers of Clay Minerals and Internal Structural Degradation

Abstract This research proposes a novel model targeting expansive bedrock by combining an elastoplastic considering electro-chemo-mechanical phenomena with the Cam-clay model, based on considerations of cementation and its degradation owing to plastic deformation. Additionally, tunnel excavation swelling analyses are demonstrated incorporating proposed into finite element analysis code. Specifically, is conducted decreasing ion concentration groundwater supply tunnel. The simulation results indicate that considerable occurs in limited area, such as bottom part tunnel, even though changes uniformly set entire area; moreover, develop instantaneously analogous observational records. reveals shear stress increases while excavating area softening expansion skeleton concentration. In addition, yielding triggers rapid internal structural clay mineral interlaminar layers simulations. Thus, this study clarifies deformation mechanism interaction problem between coupled occurring crystal phenomenon involving skeleton.
